Section 2. Term of Office. The term of office shall be for one year commencing as of September 1.
ARTICLE V – BOARD OF GOVERNORS
Section 1. The Board of Governors shall consist of the Executive Board, the Past President as Ex-officio, and the Chairwomen of the Standing Committees.
Section 2. The Board of Governors shall fill any vacancy in the office of the Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer, occurring between the Annual Elections.
Section 3. The Board of Governors shall meet prior to General Membership meetings or whenever deemed necessary.
ARTICLEVI – STANDING COMMITTEES
Section 1. The function of each standing committee of the Association shall be to formulate and execute plans for the current year with the approval of the Board of Governors and to assist the President in carrying out her duties.
Section 2. It shall be the duty of the President to appoint chairwomen of the following committees: Weekly Tournament Chairwoman, Handicap, Social, Membership, Rules, Ringer and Birdie.
a. Weekly Tournament Chairwoman: It shall be the duty of the Weekly Tournament Chairwoman to prepare the annual schedule and set all tournament dates, with the approval of the Executive Board. She shall promptly report results of tournaments to the membership and press.
b. Handicap Chairwoman: It shall be the duty of the Handicap Chairwoman to keep an updated list, post same on the bulletin board, and provide copies to various Chairwomen. She shall post scores for all players each week after play. She shall determine the “Most Improved Golfer of the Year”.
c. Social Chairwoman: It shall be the duty of the Social Chairwoman to plan all social functions including food, decorations, and collect any money charged for these affairs.
d. Membership Chairwoman: It shall be the duty of the Membership Chairwoman to determine if the applicant is eligible according to Article 3, Section 1 of the by-laws. Membership Chairwoman shall prepare and maintain a membership roster and introduce all new members at the General Meeting. She shall be responsible for collecting fees to maintain the Hole-In-One and reserve Hole-In-One funds and maintain a list of paid members. She shall be responsible for transferring all collected funds to the treasurer.
e. Rules Chairwoman: It shall be the duty of the Rules Chairwoman to understand the USGA Rules of Golf, to post local rules, to settle any dispute as to the rules of golf, and to promote knowledge of and adherence to the rules of golf among the membership.
f. Ringer and Birdie Chairwoman: It shall be the duty of the Ringer Chairwoman to maintain a record of the Ringer scores throughout the year, and determine the payouts for each flight at the end of the year. She shall also maintain a record of birdies made during the year, and to award prizes to winners.
g. Ex-officio: The past President is the Ex-officio member of the Board. In this capacity she will serve as advisor to the President, serve as Chairwoman of the Nominating Committee, and any other capacity as directed by the President.
ARTICLE VII – NOMINATIONS
Section 1. The Nominating Committee shall consist of a Chairwoman (the Ex-officio past President) and two members.
Section 2. The Nominating Committee shall nominate a slate of one candidate each for the office of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The report of this Committee shall be posted at least two weeks prior to
